*Please note we are suspending yoga therapy services in order to encourage social distancing and support the health of our community. We hope to offer sessions and classes as soon as it is safe, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to Kim if you have any questions about yoga therapy or if you'd like to give her any ideas on keeping a toddler entertained. Stay cool and connected everyone!
Yoga Therapy with Kim Gladwin
Kim is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher and currently a student of yoga therapy at Mount Royal University. She is completing the final course before she becomes fully certified in July! As such, her rates are reduced until July and she kindly will be asking for feedback on her sessions in order to complete her coursework requirements.
Kim has been a long time practitioner of yoga and has discovered many benefits of yoga in managing her own scoliosis and the pain that comes with it. Her personal journey has led her to study yoga as therapy with specific interests in postural misalignment as well as deep core/pelvic floor awareness and strengthening.

What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy is the specific application of yogic tools—postures/exercises, breath work, meditation techniques, and more—to address an individual's physical, mental, and emotional needs. A primary objective of yoga therapy is to create more function and ease in the body and mind so individuals can fully enjoy their life and activities.
Yoga Therapy is beneficial for those experiencing any level of pain, fatigue, tension and stress, and feel it is getting in the way of leading a quality life. Yoga therapists work with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds, from athletes to those with limited movement, chronic pain, illness, and injury.
Private sessions will consist of an initial intake and assessment followed by a plan given to address and manage areas you would like to work on. The session and personal plan will be developed from your current state of health and function to specifically help you improve on your own abilities. No yoga skills or experience required!
Private Session Rates (Partial proceeds going to BC Children’s Hospital)
Initial visit (75 minutes) $65
Follow up visits (60 minutes) $50
A weekly yoga therapy group class will consist of gentle movements aimed at calming the nervous system so participants can work on empowering themselves to heal. The class will be less individualized than a private session but the movements and yoga tools used are beneficial for any level of mobility and wellness.
When: Sundays from 10:30 - 11:45 starting April 1
